Early Attempts At Astrophotography
Gear and Attempt We used a 8" Celestron OTA and a AVX mount to track, with a Sony mirrorless camera mounted to the OTA. These pictures were captures using a very simple long exposure and a manual press of the shutter button. The pictures of deep sky objects were taken at a very dark location on a clear night with a new moon, and processed with Darktable. The moon was obviously captured on a very bright moonlit night....
